Pretty cool.

Very, very nice drums. Try to work in some more eighth and sixteenth notes on the toms.
The electric guitar lead could use some work. It plays a lot of dissonant notes, and if this song is supposed to be relaxing and soothing, that shouldn't happen. The guitar keeps a clean sound for most of the time, but there's some distortion early in the song, which is doesn't really suit the mood. 2:40 was awkward, but when the second guitar/synth came in, it got really nice. I like the duet.. a lot.
Far too many dissonant notes, however. End your musical/lyrical phrases on consonant notes that agree fully with the chord. The drum fill is kind of odd, because it consists of al the same note values, change it up a bit. :D
Nice, overall.

Thank you!... this certainly could use more work... this is an old track as I mentioned... it's not really in my plans to re work it (I don't even know If I still have the project file), it would be a complete remake I guess.... but not really in my plans... still, I love the tune and mood of it.. :)

Lol.

I was going through your songs and the title of this one looked funny.
I used to play WoW.. lol. What server were/are you on n stuff?

Rawrthaas responds:

when I posted this I was on Cenarius, but shortly after WOTLK I moved to Dawnbringer. Not playing atm though.

I still like your classic rock better. :p

I can't give this much higher after hearing In Hades and your Fugues.
Are those hi-hat's panning? Lol, that's cool.
Nice effects at 1:40. I really like that melody.
The time signature changes are somewhat obvious, I would try to make them more fluid, unless you want them to be abrupt-ish.
Nice soft section at 2:10ish. Cool FX sounds and hat roll.
I'm really not diggin' the quick changes like for example: 3:16 --> 3:17. It's really awesome; I just feel its overused. To make it more powerful I would use it less, but that's just me.

3:40 and all other instances, maybe make those Open Hats closed? They are too repetitive and loud over the awesome key playing.
Keyboard shredding = O_O;
Pure awesomeness.

Hehe fadeout.

adompeace responds:

lol. There are no time sig changes! It's in 16/8 the entire time hahahaha. Well it may seem like it changes a lot because in every bar, there's a snare on the last 8th note so it does sound abrupt. But there are no weird time sigs. Only 16/8, which is only kinda weird :P

You must really like those tracks lol. It's really hard to outdo those tracks since they're so full of win, but I'll try...

Really cool.

Awesome stuff, the bass is drowned out a lot, perhaps you should mix it higher or just crank up the volume.

Brilliant.

Enough said.

Btw, this is what I was talking about on my other review. The tom-work makes this song SO much more epic.

Awesome..

Very relaxing, the quarter note triplet melody makes it very soothing. Nice drumwork and kick drum. The kick roll at 2:00 is a tad long to be a kick-roll, I'd probably move that to a snare roll, that increases in volume slowly.

2:36 is just amazing. The one-note piano melody makes the song 10x better.

Nice ending, I liked. Great stuff man.

akopa responds:

Thanks for the awesome review!

Wa-BAM!

13/8.. Daaamn, son. Lol.
Nice work, I like the dark feel.

Those bells sound like madness personified, heh.
00:43, I like the rhythms along with the percussive stuff at 0:55. Have you read the Inferno by Dante?

This song oozes that book, lol. I can imagine being ferried across the river Styx from 1:30 to 3:00. You know, looking around as you spiral downwards to the endless abyss, haha.

5:55 is epic. I've said this before, but your keyboard shredding is the SHIT.
Nice creepiness at 6:10. Really, really, really cool. Very eerie sounding. Perfect. Perfect chord changes and instrumentation. Cool lead-in at 6:40. I would have made that grace note/short note a tad longer leading into the ending.

7:14 is really cool. Sounds like lifting your head up slowly as you see Lucifer chained to hell for the first time; fear, shock, awe, ... all that mess, haha (Read the Inferno, haha).

One thing that strikes me about nearly every one of your songs: Although many are long, I never lose interest. That is a talent that many musicians wish they had. You are able to keep the interest of the audience unfailingly!

Amazing!

I can feel the emotion in this song. :D It's really, really nice to listen to. There isn't anything I would change besides tweaking the velocity (dynamics) of the harp and piano to make it sound more human-like. Just a suggestion. Brilliant besides that, though!

wyldfyre1 responds:

hmm I may look into that.

Catchy.

Good stuff, nice catchy melody.. but you gotta do something about that distortion.. :P. The ping pong'ing delay is sorta odd on the piano in the middle of the song.

The synths sound nice, but I'd tinker em a bit from the preset to match your song's mood. The ending is abrupt, but nice work!

BCCB responds:

Help me with my mixing. =P

Excellent!

The build-up to 1:25 is amazing! I really liked it. I would make the lead a tad louder there, to show that you have reached the point you wanted to! Very melodious, it has the same progression as Pachelbel's Canon in D.. which is a very soothing song. Nice melody and cool piano playing. The distortion on the bass drum is really bad at the end though, that's the only thing I would try to fix. Great stuff!

Check out some of my stuff, I like the way you write your music! :D

BCCB responds:

Thanks, man! I'm glad you like it that much.

Yeah, the distortion was pretty bad, but before I tweaked it, it was even worse. I'll try to see what I can do. I'm not good at mixing or mastering at all. Maybe you could help me with that. =P

Thanks for the tips, and I'll look at your music when I'm not too busy.
