Haha awesome.

I played SPriest when I played WoW. :D
Nothing melts faces harder. /highfive

Haha.. awesome.

This is pretty awesome. Go Blizz. :D
I can't wait for SC2. :p

Look down.

His title says it all . :D
I wish I could shred. -insert sadface-

I just don't like the abrupt stop, everything is bordering on too epic.

Beautiful.

Simply beautiful.
I haven't heard a song mesh this well in ages.
The drum work goes phenomenal with the arp, strings, and pads.

Cool.

So, I've been looking around at a lot of your music recently. I really like a lot of it, but listening to this song made me somewhat upset. I feel like you rushed the production of the song. For some reason, I think if you spent a little more time with it, you could increases the effectiveness of the structure.

So:
The opening is pretty nice, but there's some misplaced stuff. The FX is pretty grand, but only leads to an arp. Sorta anticlimatic, not in the good way. 00:30ish: the intro to the melody is also kinda weak. It feels.. misplaced? What I'm trying to say is that there's a bunch of sounds building up to the melody, but they're not doing it together.

You've got an amazing talent for creating powerful, uplifting melodies. It is quickly covered up by the arp. I would mix that differently, but that's just me. The filter at 1:15 is really weird, man. The melody comes in, all strong n stuff, for like 15 seconds, and then disappears. That's a thing that I feel could be transitioned much better. :p

Nice transition at 1:50, but it's back to the same melody. A short hiccup would have been cool, but the huge filter down, then back into the same thing is kinda odd.

Filtering out the highs to the end was nice, but I think it could have been elongated and would have sounded nice with more FX leading the way. That last bit is just my taste though.

On the whole, the melody is wonderful, but I feel the structure is lacking, and the production seems rushed. I really hate when people comment stuff and say, "This song has awesome potential." and then don't say anything about how or why, or just say vague things. So now, I feel qualified enough to say that this song has superb potential with a little more time and effort. :p

Pretty cool.

Cool at 1:31.
Nice chordal work. :D
1:48-2:35 is ajust wesome with the two synths going together.

I would suggest a drum fill, a bass fall, or a synth stutter to lead into the slow section, to give it more notice. It was sudden, but a bit much. And maybe a rev cymbal leading back into the fast section? Just a suggestion. :)

3:35 has got a really weird feel to it. As does 5:20.

I like the melody a lot, you just need to work on the transitions, and this song will be amazing. Epic shredding as usual, I don't even need to say it anymore, lol. It's so much more awesome since its keyboard shredding. :D

Btw, before I head off to college, I need to get a keyboard for my dorm. Any suggestions?

adompeace responds:

Cool. Thanks for the review! And there's a lot to consider when buying a keyboard. I'm gonna PM you.

Cool.

I liked it, I just think it needed a little more fills in the drums.
Theme Init 1 from Nexus at 2:00? lol, that's what it sounded like.
I didn't like the piano work very much, late into the song. The rhythm was too repetitive, and I didn't like the piano melody much.
Ending is cool.

I review and rate people based against their other works, so I give you a 7/10 and 4/5, since Eternity and your remix of Summer Paradise are so kickass. xD

Rawrthaas responds:

Well if you didn't like the piano work much or the melody I guess that's sort of personal preference lol because it is a remix after all :\ . I remixed it because I thought it was an awesome melody actually

Cool.

Too much bass drum for jazz :p
The straight-eights on the organ is kinda weird, maybe try swinging it?
The bass line is awesome, I like it.
The horns + piano sound really cool.
Just a personal taste, I would make the solos more melodic, but that's just me. :D
I noticed you like a much more organic-type of soloing, which is awesome.

On the whole, play on offbeats more (syncopation), less bass drum, cool rhythm piano and horns. :D

I want to give a 7.5, but I can't lol. So, you get an 8. :D

Spooky! :D

You definately captured the feeling you were going for. The haunting arpeggio mixes extremely well with the crying violin. Don't be scared to mix instruments that people don't normally mix, experimentation is good! Sometimes you get crap, and sometimes you get a good outcome, like this. :D

atmos929NG responds:

I'll really take that into consideration... sometimes I feel like experimenting more... thanks for your comments! :D

Cowboy Bebop? lol.

The summary sounds like Cowboy Bebop.
Drums are kinda cool. The synth is weird and floaty, but I suppose you were going for that effect. Lotta dissonance again, but it fits this mood. Not too bad, but I think you can do better. :D

atmos929NG responds:

heheh... yeah, summary sounds like cowboy bebop, great episode that one btw... but when one thinks about cowboy bebop, one thinks about bebop genre :D...

Thanks a lot for your comments... although I'll have to research about dissonance since it's the second time you mention that in a review :)... I am not illiterate at all about music theory... I've never properly studied it... I am just a guy that loves listening to lots of genres and that strives to make music all "by ear".

Thanks again for your comments, I appreciate them
