Wow.

I've only started on NG, but you are my first 10 and not my first review.
I like how you strayed from the cheesy techno progressions. This song got my head nodding fast. Definately not repetitive or rinsed, great.

Wow, very cool review. Thank you very much. Be sure to check out my other account: UndergroundSound (just do an Audio Portal Artist search). Me and many other artists are doing some major collabs on that account!

Hah, nice!

I liked it! The synth in the background was cool, but I think you could have added some more triplets and accentuated the entrance of the synth at 1:25. Also there were some timing errors close to 2:00. I think you could have added more hat work to give it a more driven feel, but that's just me. Good idea, but you could make it better!

Meh.

Well, this progression is in about 75% of techno songs I have ever heard, and I'm sorta getting tired of it. It's cool how people can make differing melodies over the same progression, but artists need to branch out. Also, to make this song less predictable you can move the melody from, instead, on every single offbeat, to some offbeats and/or some downbeats. Also, when you started making the song swing at the end, i kinda cringed. :p

Nice.

It's a catchy song, no doubt. The progression however has been used in far too many dance songs, and it's really repetitive. To get over the repetitive-ness, you can add effects to the same melody, add counterpoint and a harmony, or just write a second verse of the same melody. All in all, good work with what you had, but I really think techno artists in general should move away from this standard progression. It's cool, but it gets old.

All in all, not bad.

LK412 responds:

i really dont understand why its so repetitive to people. There are three melodies throughout this song, some songs usually have 1-2.

I understand what you mean, though after a while it gets boring, the progression i know is overused but i make my melodies before my chords so my chords for some reason always end up the same.

Thanks for the review.
